"First Time on the Open Ocean"

Sea Kayaking is a beautiful way to see parts of the world you may not have experienced. We will take you out on calm water and show you some paddling skills to begin a hobbie filled with life and amazing adventure.

Our aim of this course is to coach you through the fundemental flat water skills creating a foundation from which you can build your paddling knowledge.


DETAILS:

Duration: 6-8 hours flat water time
Location: Burrard Inlet, meeting point Barnet Marine Park
Equipment: All kayak related equipment is provided. required.) Lake/Inlet Environment: You will need to invest in proper kayaking clothing including a wetsuit, drytop or outer layer, and footwear (river shoes, neoprene booties, old runners). All other kayak related equipment is provided (kayak, paddle, PFD, helmet and spray skirt)

PREREQUISITES:

  • Able to Swim in normal paddling clothing.
  • Basics course or equivalent
